Minnesota High School Basketball - Faribault overwhelms Simley
December 27, 2024: Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076 The Faribault Falcons basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Simley Spartans to 23 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Friday.
The Falcons now possess a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Winona for a AAA Section 1 game on Thursday, January 2. Faribault will confront a Winhawks team coming off a 70-26 league loss to Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN). The Winhawks record now stands at 0-9.
With the loss, Simley falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host North (North St. Paul, MN) to confront the Polars in a AAA Section 4 game on Friday, January 3. The Polars go into the game with a record of 5-3. North lost 48-45 in their recent league game against South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN)
