Maryland High School Basketball - Gerstell Academy succumbs to Largo

In Friday's non-league test, the Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) basketball squad defeated the visiting Gerstell Academy (Finksburg, MD), by a final score of 57-46.

Next, the Lions clash with the Surrattsville Hornets (Clinton, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A test, on Tuesday, January 7. Largo will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Hornets come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 38-32 non-league loss to Gar-Field (Woodbridge, VA).

The (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD). The Mavericks come into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Eastern Tech overcame Annapolis Area Christian (Severn, MD), 50-35, in a non-league test.
