December 27, 2024: Norfolk, VA 23505 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) and the visiting James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA), observed Granby's basketball team knock off James River Midlothian by a score of 49-31.
The Comets (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Braves come into the non-league challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Indian River was knocked off by Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA), 56-27, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Rapids encounter the Cosby Titans (Midlothian, VA) in a Dominion challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. James River Midlothian will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 56-38 non-league loss to Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA).
