In Friday's non-league contest, the host Hammond Morton Governors basketball team scored a big 72-29 triumph over the South Bend Riley Wildcats.

The Governors (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against Gary West Side (Gary, IN). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 1-5 record.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors (Hammond, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28.
