Texas High School Basketball - Hermleigh nips New Deal
December 27, 2024: Hermleigh, TX 79526 In Friday's non-league contest, the host Hermleigh Cardinals basketball team scored a close 37-31 triumph over the New Deal Lions.
The Cardinals (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against Trent (Trent, TX). The Gorillas go into the 1A Region II District 14 contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Trent was tipped by Roby (Roby, TX), 70-12, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Post Antelopes (Post, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 contest, on Tuesday, December 31. New Deal will attempt to better on its 12-8 season record. The Antelopes go into the contest with a 0-15 record after their 39-15 non-league loss to Meadow (Meadow, TX).
