In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Independence Falcons basketball team scored a close 50-48 win over the Paso Robles Bearcats.

The Falcons (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Rough Riders come into the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Roosevelt edged Cabrillo (Lompoc, CA), 53-52, in a non-league contest.
