In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Murphy Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 53-48 win over the Towns County Indians.

The Bulldogs (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Polk County (Benton, TN). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Polk County edged Franklin (Franklin, NC), 54-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 30. Towns County will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record.
