The South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball squad (Aiken, SC), was outscored 44-36 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Academy of Richmond County Musketeers (Augusta, GA)

With the victory, Academy of Richmond County advances its record to 5-7 on the year. The Musketeers host Howard (Macon, GA) to meet the Huskies in a AAA Region 4 battle on Friday, January 3. The Huskies enter the battle with a record of 4-4. Howard lost 60-20 in their recent league battle against Cross Creek (Augusta, GA)

The Thoroughbreds now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Josey for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. South Aiken will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 62-33 non-league win over Washington County (Sandersville, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-1.
