With the victory, Wheeling Park advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Patriots travel to Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH) to battle the Seminoles in a Ohio Valley AAA contest on Saturday, January 3. The Seminoles come into the contest with a record of 9-0. Monroe Central won 65-49 in their recent non-league contest against Cincinnati Christian (Fairfield, OH)
The Dukes now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patriot Prep Academy for a non-league match on Sunday, December 28. Marlington will face a Eagles squad coming off a 55-38 non-league loss to River (Hannibal, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 2-6.
