The Benson (MN) varsity basketball team lost Tuesday's neutral non-conference game against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (Tyler, MN) by a score of 70-17.
The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Benson to 17 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Knights now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martin County West for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 29. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton will meet a Mavericks team coming off a 74-58 league win over Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman (Granada, MN). The Mavericks record now stands at 4-0.
The (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (Morris, MN). The Tigers enter the AA Section 3 contest with a 9-0 record.
