Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Side thwarted by Laurel
December 28, 2021: New Castle, PA 16101 The South Side Rams basketball team (Hookstown, PA), was toppled 61-50 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA)
The Spartan now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mohawk Area for a WPIAL 3A 1 battle on Tuesday, January 4. Laurel will confront a Warriors team coming off a 54-48 non-league loss to St. Joseph (Natrona Heights, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-4.
The Rams (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Riverside (Ellwood City, PA). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Riverside was toppled by Eden Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 55-36, in a non-league battle.
