Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA), 70-68 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Morehead upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Panthers host West Stokes (King, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a 2A Conference 34 bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-8. West Stokes won 43-37 in their recent non-league bout against West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Graham G-Men (Bluefield, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 30. Martinsville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The G-Men go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 56-40 non-league loss to Bluefield (Bluefield, WV).
