Indiana High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon overwhelms Salem
December 28, 2021: Salem, IN 47167 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN) and the host Salem Lions (Salem, IN), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad wallop Salem by a tally of 88-49.
With the victory, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Eastern (Pekin, IN) to confront the Musketeers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 28. The Musketeers come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Eastern won 72-43 in their recent non-league challenge against New Washington (New Washington, IN)
Next up, the Lions confront the Orleans Bulldogs (Orleans, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 7. Salem will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 58-49 non-league loss to Evansville Christian (Evansville, IN).
