Valley View Eagles (Valley View, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Muenster Hornets (Muenster, TX), 27-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Valley View upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Boyd (Boyd, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a 3A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Boyd lost 47-42 in their recent non-league bout against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Sacred Heart Tigers (Muenster, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 29. Muenster will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 70-26 non-league win over Forestburg (Forestburg, TX).
