December 28, 2021: Decatur, TX 76234 The Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX), 37-34 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (15-3) will now prepare for their test against Castleberry (Fort Worth, TX). The Lions go into the 4A Region I District 7 test with a 9-11 record. In their last test, Castleberry was tipped by Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX), 50-30, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to Birdville for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 29. Brewer will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 40-30 league loss to Ryan (Denton, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 2-7.
