Illinois High School Basketball - Annawan knocked off by East Dubuque
December 28, 2022: Annawan, IL 61234 The East Dubuque Warriors basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Annawan Braves to 44 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Warriors now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Olympia for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. East Dubuque will battle a Spartans team coming off a 78-46 non-league loss to Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 3-9.
The Braves (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Tornadoes enter the Lincoln Trail contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Abingdon/Avon was defeated by Augusta Southeastern (Augusta, IL), 41-29, in a non-league contest.
