Missouri High School Basketball - Lafayette can't hold off Atascocita
December 28, 2022: St. Joseph, MO 64505 The Atascocita Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Lafayette Fighting Irish to 62 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Van Buren for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Atascocita will battle a Pointers team coming off a 51-48 non-league win over Morrilton (Morrilton, AR). The Pointers record now stands at 9-5.
The Fighting Irish (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Morrilton (Morrilton, AR). The Devil Dogs enter the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Morrilton was nudged by Van Buren (Van Buren, AR), 51-48, in a non-league contest.
