Maryland High School Basketball - Langley crushes Avalon
December 28, 2022: Wheaton, MD 20902 Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD), 70-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Langley upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Saxons host Christ Chapel Academy (Woodbridge, VA) to clash with the in a VISAA Division III bout on Friday, December 30. The go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Christ Chapel Academy won 64-62 in their recent non-league bout against Seton (Manassas, VA)
Next up, the Black Knights clash with the Don Bosco Cristo Rey Wolfpack (Takoma Park, MD) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Avalon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 69-36 league loss to Smith Jewish Day School (Rockville, MD).
