Virginia High School Basketball - Bishop Ireton thwarts Southside
December 28, 2022: Alexandria, VA 22314 The Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA), 53-42 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Newman (New Orleans, LA). The Greenies go into the non-league test with a 14-2 record. In their last test, Newman notched a victory over Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA), 72-47, in a non-league test.
The Sharks now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Teurlings Catholic for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Southside will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 72-47 non-league loss to Newman (New Orleans, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 4-4.
