The New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) basketball knocked off the host Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC), 57-40 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Bears (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Heide Trask notched a victory over Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC), 59-56, in a non-league test.

The Centurions now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Southeastern HomeSchool for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 3. Coastal Christian will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 68-25 non-league loss to Living Water Christian (Jacksonville, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-10.
