The Darien Blue Wave basketball team (Darien, CT), was nudged 58-52 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT)

The Nighthawks now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Staples for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 3. Newtown will battle a Wreckers team coming off a 72-55 non-league win over Berlin (Berlin, CT). The Wreckers record now stands at 3-0.
