December 28, 2022: Monroeville, PA 15146 In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Gateway Gators basketball team scored a good 71-51 triumph over the Erie Royals.
In their next game, the Gators meet the McKeesport Tigers (McKeesport, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 3 match, on Tuesday, January 3. Gateway will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 1-6 record after their 72-42 non-league loss to South Fayette (McDonald, PA).
With the defeat, Erie moves to 4-4 on the year. The Royals host Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA) to meet the Ramblers in a District 10 Region 6 match on Tuesday, January 3. The Ramblers enter the match with a record of 7-0. Cathedral Prep won 37-17 in their recent non-league match against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH)
