The Panther Creek Catamounts topped the host First Flight Nighthawks basketball team by a final score of 74-60 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Catamounts face the Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) in a 4A Conference 29 game, on Tuesday, January 3. Panther Creek will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 3-7 record after their 61-48 non-league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC).

With the defeat, First Flight moves to 2-6 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Camden County (Camden, NC) to face the Bruins in a 2A/3A Conference 15 game on Tuesday, January 3.
