December 28, 2022: Boone, NC 28607 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the visiting Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), saw Watauga's basketball squad wallop Forbush by a tally of 73-24.
With the victory, Watauga improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC) to confront the Pride in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Pride come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Pine Lake Prep won 86-69 in their recent non-league challenge against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Hickory Christian Academy Knights (Hickory, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Forbush will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 86-69 non-league loss to Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC).
