The Murphy Bulldogs basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Franklin Panthers to 63 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union County for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Murphy will battle a Panthers team coming off a 69-59 non-league win over Polk County (Benton, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 7-4.

The Panthers (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Polk County (Benton, TN). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Polk County was nudged by Union County (Blairsville, GA), 69-59, in a non-league contest.
