Florida High School Basketball - Providence Day overwhelmed by IMG Academy
December 28, 2022: Bradenton, FL 34210 The IMG Academy Ascenders basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Providence Day Chargers to 43 in the Ascenders non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Ascenders now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. John's for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. IMG Academy will battle a Cadets team coming off a 71-65 non-league win over St. Augustine (San Diego, CA). The Cadets record now stands at 12-0.
The Chargers (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hillcrest Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Bruin come into the non-league contest with a 19-1 record. In their last contest, Hillcrest Prep triumphed over Ascending Life College Prep Academy (Chandler, AZ), 96-59, in a league contest.
