Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Nation Ford Falcons (Fort Mill, SC) and the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), saw Nation Ford's basketball squad hold off Independence by a tally of 62-61.

With the victory, Nation Ford improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Hickory Grove Christian won 75-36 in their recent non-league challenge against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Conference 59 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Independence will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 67-39 non-league win over West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
