December 28, 2022: Arlington, TX 76016 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Martin Warriors (Arlington, TX) and the visiting John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX), saw Martin's basketball squad hold off John Paul II by a count of 81-76.
With the victory, Martin upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Plano (Plano, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Plano won 72-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Prestonwood Christian Lions (Plano, TX) in a TAPPS 6A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 16-5 record after their 79-62 non-league loss to JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, CA).
