Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Kermit Yellow Jackets (Kermit, TX) and the visiting Midland Classical Academy Knights (Midland, TX), saw Kermit's basketball squad hold off Midland Classical Academy by a tally of 56-53.

With the victory, Kermit improves its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets host San Elizario (San Elizario, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. San Elizario won 58-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Gadsden (Anthony, NM)

Next up, the Knights confront the Cathedral Fighting Irish (El Paso, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Midland Classical Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 61-30 non-league win over Trinity (Midland, TX).
