In Wednesday's non-league outing, the La Marque Cougars (La Marque, TX) basketball squad felled the host O'Connell Buccaneers (Galveston, TX), by a margin of 58-40.

The Cougars (6-13) will now prepare for their outing against Danbury (Danbury, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 3-14 record. In their last outing, Danbury was beaten by Shepherd (Shepherd, TX), 75-55, in a non-league outing.
