In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Lytle Pirates basketball team scored a tight 67-66 triumph over the LaPoynor Flyers.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 29. Lytle will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 13-5 record after their 38-35 non-league win over Cole (San Antonio, TX).
