Illinois High School Basketball - MacArthur crushes Madison
December 28, 2022: Madison, IL 62060 MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Madison Trojans (Madison, IL), 67-39 in a non-league bout.
With the win, MacArthur upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Generals host Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL) to play the Spartans in a Central State Eight bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Springfield Southeast lost 61-25 in their recent non-league bout against Marion (Marion, IL)
Next up, the Trojans play the Lovejoy Wildcats (Lovejoy, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 49-46 non-league loss to Wayne City (Wayne City, IL).
