Texas High School Basketball - Melissa holds off Tyler Legacy
December 28, 2022: Tyler, TX 75701 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX) and the host Tyler Legacy Raiders (Tyler, TX), saw Melissa's basketball squad hold off Tyler Legacy by a tally of 64-57.
With the victory, Melissa improves its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Naaman Forest (Garland, TX) to confront the Rangers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Naaman Forest won 41-37 in their recent league challenge against Wylie (Wylie, TX)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Horn Jaguars (Mesquite, TX) in a 6A Region II District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Tyler Legacy will attempt to improve on its 4-15 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 66-55 non-league loss to Prosper (Prosper, TX).
