New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Summertown Eagles (Summertown, TN), 71-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Hope upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TN) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Mt. Pleasant won 60-26 in their recent non-league bout against Cornersville (Cornersville, TN)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Lawrence County Wildcats (Lawrenceburg, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Summertown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record.
