The Northampton County Jaguars basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting North East Carolina Prep to 25 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Jaguars now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southeast Halifax for a 1A Conference 9 contest on Tuesday, January 3.

The (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against South Creek (Robersonville, NC). The Cougars enter the 1A Conference 2 contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, South Creek was routed by Washington County (Plymouth, NC), 89-16, in a league contest.
