North Carolina High School Basketball - Owen knocked off by Swain County
December 28, 2022: Bryson City, NC 28713 The Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Owen Warhorses to 49 in the Maroon Devils non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Maroon Devils now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Stokes for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Swain County will meet a Vikings team coming off a 85-36 non-league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 11-1.
The Warhorses (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Tigers enter the 1A/2A Conference 42 contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Rosman was outscored by North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 85-36, in a non-league contest.
