The Red Springs Red Devils basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Smithfield-Selma Spartans to 46 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Red Devils now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corinth Holders for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Red Springs will battle a Pirates team coming off a 68-48 non-league win over Thales Academy Apex (Apex, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 3-9.

The Spartans (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Thales Academy Apex (Apex, NC). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Thales Academy Apex was routed by Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC), 68-48, in a non-league contest.
