New Mexico High School Basketball - Gallup nips Taos
December 28, 2022: Gallup, NM 87301 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) and the visiting Taos Tigers (Taos, NM), saw Gallup's basketball squad hold off Taos by a tally of 42-40.
With the victory, Gallup improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Bengals host Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 2-4.
Next up, the Tigers play the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. Taos will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record.
