Texas High School Basketball - Coronado overwhelms Anthony
December 28, 2022: El Paso, TX 79912 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Anthony Wildcats (Anthony, TX), saw Coronado's basketball squad wallop Anthony by a tally of 50-19.
With the victory, Coronado improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Socorro (El Paso, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 6A Region I District 1 challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Socorro lost 55-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Crandall (Crandall, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Anthony will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 54-30 non-league loss to Riverside (El Paso, TX).
