Texas High School Basketball - North Mesquite can't hold off Community
December 28, 2022: Nevada, TX 75173 The Community Braves basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting North Mesquite Stallions to 33 in the Braves non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Braves now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wills Point for a 4A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Community will battle a Tigers team coming off a 55-33 non-league loss to Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 7-15.
The Stallions (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Anna (Anna, TX). The Coyotes come into the non-league contest with a 16-4 record. In their last contest, Anna edged Naaman Forest (Garland, TX), 65-29, in a non-league contest.
