Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY) and the host Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), saw Cooper's basketball squad wallop Russell by a tally of 62-29.

With the victory, Cooper improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Holy Cross (Covington, KY) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Holy Cross won 53-50 in their recent non-league test against Meade County (Brandenburg, KY)

The Red Devils now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Rowan County for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. Russell will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 67-50 non-league loss to Cooper (Union, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 4-4.
