Illinois High School Basketball - Hampshire holds off Lake Forest
December 28, 2022: Lake Forest, IL 60045 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL) and the host Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL), saw Hampshire's basketball squad hold off Lake Forest by a tally of 51-48.
With the victory, Hampshire improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Whip-Purs travel to St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL) to confront the North Stars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The North Stars come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. St. Charles North won 39-38 in their recent non-league battle against Hononegah (Rockton, IL)
The Scouts (12-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Hononegah was nudged by St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL), 39-38, in a non-league battle.
