The Highlands Golden Rams basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets to 46 in the Golden Rams non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Golden Rams now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freeport for a WPIAL 4A 1 contest on Thursday, January 5.

The Fightin' Planets (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA). The Foxes enter the WPIAL 5A 2 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Fox Chapel was outscored by Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 50-47, in a non-league contest.
