Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Wylie Pirates (Wylie, TX) and the host Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX), saw Wylie's basketball squad knock off Joshua by a tally of 36-28.

With the victory, Wylie improves its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Newman Smith lost 63-43 in their recent league challenge against Reedy (Frisco, TX)
