Oregon High School Basketball - Metlakatla can't hold off Philomath
December 28, 2022: Philomath, OR 97370 The Philomath Warriors basketball team scored 35 points and held the visiting Metlakatla Chiefs to 31 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Warriors now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Barrow for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Philomath will battle a Whalers team coming off a 62-29 non-league loss to Grace Christian (Anchorage, AK). The Whalers record now stands at 0-1.
The Chiefs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK). The Nanooks enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Nome-Beltz nudged Chief Ivan Blanka (New Stuyahok, AK), 50-39, in a non-league contest.
