The Van Vandals basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Pine Tree Pirates to 18 in the Vandals non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Vandals now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scurry-Rosser for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28. Van will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 39-27 league win over Eustace (Eustace, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-2.

The Pirates (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against New Diana (Diana, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, New Diana was routed by San Augustine (San Augustine, TX), 43-42, in a non-league contest.
