Maine High School Basketball - Telstar nips Sacopee Valley
December 28, 2022: Bethel, ME 04217 Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sacopee Valley Hawks (Cornish, ME), 42-39 in a league bout.
With the victory, Telstar upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Rebels host Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME) to play the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Phoenix come into the bout with a record of 5-0.
Next up, the Hawks play the Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Sacopee Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 50-13 non-league loss to Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME).
