Tennessee High School Basketball - Van Buren County holds off Sand Rock
December 28, 2022: Spencer, TN 38585 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Van Buren County Eagles (Spencer, TN) and the visiting Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL), saw Van Buren County's basketball squad hold off Sand Rock by a tally of 77-73.
With the victory, Van Buren County improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Brookwood (Thomasville, GA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 10-2.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Sand Rock will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 43-25 non-league win over Brookwood (Thomasville, GA).
