Connecticut High School Basketball - Staples overwhelmed by St. Paul Catholic
December 28, 2022: Westport, CT 06880 The St. Paul Catholic Falcons basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Staples Wreckers to 27 in the Falcons non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Falcons now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wolcott for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass contest on Friday, December 30. St. Paul Catholic will battle a Eagles team coming off a 64-49 league win over Watertown (Watertown, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
The Wreckers (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Darien (Darien, CT). The Blue Wave come into the Fairfield County contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Darien was routed by New Canaan (New Canaan, CT), 49-30, in a league contest.
