California High School Basketball - Foothill nips Nevada Union
December 28, 2022: Palo Cedro, CA 96073 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Foothill Cougars (Palo Cedro, CA) and the visiting Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), saw Foothill's basketball squad hold off Nevada Union by a count of 52-50.
With the victory, Foothill upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Enterprise (Redding, CA) to play the Hornets in a challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Enterprise won 53-49 in their recent non-league challenge against University Prep (Redding, CA)
Next up, the Miners play the Del Oro Golden Eagles (Loomis, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Nevada Union will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 72-65 non-league loss to Rio Americano (Sacramento, CA).
